The ideal gift for friends or family, our flight experiences offer the chance to have a go at flying a real jet aircraft simulator!  Buy a voucher for yourself or someone else, and you can take upto 4 other people to sit in our virtual cabin and assess your flying skills as a passenger!

Having booked a flight experience with us you will be met by one of our friendly instructors. Every session will include a 20 minute briefing session where the basic controls of the aircraft will be explained as well as an overview of the day’s flying activities.

Then it is time to get on board!

The engines of the aircraft will be started and you will be given the chance to taxy the aircraft to the active runway.  Having lined up you will apply full power and with the sound of the engines spooling up the take-off run will begin. At the correct speed you will pull back on the controls and the aircraft will leave the ground!

After a few minutes of flight, familiarising yourself with the controls it is time to turn back to the runway and, with the expert encouragement of the instructor, bring the plane in for a landing.

After a smooth touchdown and a controlled stop you will get the opportunity to improve your landings with 3-4 more approaches.

These can range from the easy to the downright challenging! Fancy a landing into Innsbruck in a winter snow-storm at night, or perhaps a tricky “Canarsie” approach into New York JFK or even the famous “Checker Board” approach into the former Kai Tak airport in Hong Kong?

All of this is possible at the Virtual Flight Centre!

 
 
30 Minute Flight Experience

An ideal inexpensive introduction to commercial airline flying.  You will have the opportunity to fly the 737 from take-off to touchdown for half-an-hour at the controls, as well as an extra half-an-hour as the second pilot.

The experience involves a total of one hour in the simulator sharing the flying with another client, providing 30 minutes at the controls and 30 minutes in the other pilot's seat.

Warning: this is an addictive experience – you will want to come back for more!
 

 
1 Hour Flight Experience

An extended flying adventure on the 737 with one full hour in control. Your experience begins with a taxi out to the departure runway. Then it is time for your first take-off!

After departure you will fly round for a final approach and your first landing under the instruction of your host pilot.

Having successfully completed your first flight you will then have the opportunity to fly further take-offs and landings as well as operate the autopilot and other aircraft systems, all under the expert guidance of your instructor pilot. 
 

 
2 Hour Flight Experience

A more extensive experience for the avid enthusiast! As before you will begin by flying a “circuit” in your 737 then you can practice a series of take-offs and landings at numerous world airports.

There will be plenty of time to experience a series of challenging landings at difficult airports (including Hong Kong Kai Tak) and to fly through some inclement weather.

You can even witness a fully-automatic landing in zero visibility!





 

 
4 Hour Flight Experience

A fully-immersive flight-simulator experience!  Your experience will begin with your “check-ride” – a full circuit from take-off to landing followed by an hour’s worth of landing practice giving you the opportunity to get used to the aircraft.

Then it is time to operate a flight “on the line”. You will start with a full briefing, including a review of weather and the flight plan before operating a 1 hour sector from start-up to shut-down.

En-route we will monitor the weather, which automatically updates every 15 minutes and talk to ATC – you might even experience an in-flight diversion! We finish off with some unusual approaches and flight situations!
